Food is a vital part of life, without it man can not continue to live

The body is like a car that must be fed.

“Feasting on the riches of His grace”

Why must we eat?

“Unless you eat and drink, you have no life in you.” John_6:53b

You don’t want a lifeless spirit within you, do you?

What must we eat? John_6:48

The bread of life from the tree of life Jn. 6:48

“My words they are spirit and truth” John_6:63

“Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life” John_6:27

You must eat often

Bible example, “These (Berean’s) received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily” Acts_17:11

If you aren’t reading daily you are not growing as you should.

Does that offend you?

“When you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)” Ephesians_3:4

The Spirit must be fed wholesome food

If the spiritual man isn’t fed, it will die. John_6:53

A healthy spirit will grow, develop and mature

“But the fruit of the Spirit is …” Galatians_5:23

Faith comes thru reading Romans_10:17

Knowledge of Christ and salvation comes thru reading. Ephesians_3:4

“The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John_6:63

Spirit filled and life giving words.

So, it’s the words of Christ that are our spiritual food.

Go ahead; make a glutton of yourself and you won’t gain an ounce.
