Christ has no hands but our
hands to do His work today.
He has no feet but our feet to lead men in
His way;
He has no tongue but our tongues to tell
men how He died,
He has no help but our help to bring them
to His side.
We are the only Bible the careless world
will read,
We are the sinner's gospel; We are the
scoffers' creed;
We are the Lord's last message Given in
deed and word,
What if the type is crooked? What if the
print is blurred?
What if our hands are busy with other
things than His?
What if our feet are walking where sin's
allurement is?
What if our tongues are speaking of things
His life would spurn,
How can we hope to help Him and welcome
His return?
Do we really believe that? If the gospel isn’t taken
to the lost, who can be blamed? Jesus? He did His part. The Holy
Spirit? He did His part. Man MUST do his part in taking the gospel to
lost souls.
Third, only the
gospel, the good new the glad tidings, can save man. The apostle
Paul said it like this, “I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the
power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth” (Rom. 1:16)
Forth,
Faith is the first step in becoming a child of God. “And without faith
it is impossible to be well-pleasing
unto him; for he that cometh to God must
believe that he is, and that
he is a rewarder of them that seek after him.”(Heb 11:6) While there is
more to becoming an heir of His promises than a confession of faith, it
is a start.
Fifth,
Godly living or righteous works are also required.
Speaking of Abraham the writer continues,
“You see that faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made
perfect (complete); and the scripture was fulfilled which said, ‘And
Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned unto him for righteousness;
and he was called the friend of God.’ You see that by works a man is
justified, and not only by faith.” (James 2:24)
Salvation of the soul of man will require a day-in-and
day-out struggle with Satan. So we can see from this study, there are
indeed, only a few, who will be saved. Will you?
